Have you watched the latest @davidattenborough documentary ‘A life on our planet’? It was incredible. A big takeaway is that we need to be using green energy sources. If you watched the doco and felt inspired to make a change and take action, you can!! And it takes less than 5 minutes! Mining companies are wanting to drill for oil and gas in our oceans which is catastrophic for our oceans, and for us. It’s unnatural!!!🙅🏼‍♀️

PETROLEUM EXPLORATION PERMIT 11 is a licence for oil & gas exploration in the Sydney Basin due to expire in February 2021 – that’s right, just off the beaches between Manly and Newcastle!

Mining companies ADVENT Energy, BPH & Bounty Oil & Gas are now pushing for NOPTA (National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator) to approve a licence extension and change the title to allow drilling for oil & gas offshore. To add to this, there’s a motion before federal parliament to stop PEP11, which means a decision on the issue could be imminent, so we need to make some noise on this!!

Join the #stopPEP11 social media campaign and stand with us in telling politicians that our communities will not let this incredible coastline we call home be put at risk and strongly oppose the industrialisation of our oceans.
